MSS Livery 3D Wrap

The problem

A racing livery existed as a 2D design. Before anyone committed to printing and fitting a wrap, the client had to see and approve it on the actual car.

What I did

I built the livery as real 3D texture work on a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The bought model's UVs had to be redone in Unfold3D before artwork could be laid across the panels accurately; the graphics were then painted in Substance 3D Painter from Toby Tinsley's 2D design and rendered in Cinema 4D with Redshift.

What happened

The renders went to the client for approval. The graphics are on the car.

The 3D work is mine — UVs, texture, look development and renders. The livery design is Toby Tinsley's.
