National Trust - A Room of One's Own installation

The problem

The National Trust's 2018 Women and Power programme needed a piece on Virginia Woolf's lecture “A Room of One's Own”, running continuously in Woolf's own writing hut at Monk's House.

What I did

We expanded the brief past a film: exhibition elements, and an art piece built from physical copies of the lecture with the key text highlighted. We filmed and interviewed women working across creative disciplines at National Trust locations and at Monk's House itself.

What happened

The film runs continuously on an iPad Pro in the hut.
